Can I apply for multiple categories?
Applicants may only submit one application per award cycle, but should choose the category that best fits their background and goals.
What happens after I submit my application?
Applications are reviewed by our panel within a month after submittal. All applicants will be notified of decisions within a month regardless of the outcome. If you are chosen as a finalist, you will be invited to an interview with the Lorenzo Foundation. Within a week after all the finalists have been interviewed, the winners will be announced.
Are there any restrictions on how I can use the award funds?
Funds must be used for artistic development, educational expenses, or project costs directly related to your proposed work. Recipients are asked to provide a brief report on fund utilization.
Do I have to perform if I am a winner?
Yes, you will be required to perform at two separate occasions. First, at the annual event in the year that you have won the award. Secondly, at the following year's event you are required to perform as well.
Can International applicants apply?
Yes, we welcome applications from international artists and students. However, if you are a winner, you will need to pay for your transportation and housing at the events during the year you won and also at the subsequent year's event.
