Emerging artists in music, singing, theater and dance are encouraged to apply. The Lorenzo Awards recognize artistic excellence and the potential for future impact.

Everything you need to know about the Lorenzo Awards
What is the maximum award amount?
Each year the amount granted per winner of the Lorenzo Awards can change. For 2027, winners will be given up to $10,000 each. 60% of the award is granted on the day of the annual event in the year the award was won; the remaining 40% is granted at the following year's annual event.
Can I apply for multiple categories?
Applicants may submit only one application per award cycle, and should choose the category that best fits their background and goals.
What happens after I submit my application?
Applications are reviewed by our panel, and all applicants are notified within a month after the application deadline, regardless of outcome. If you are chosen as a finalist, you will be invited to an interview with the Lorenzo Foundation. Within a week after all finalists have been interviewed, the winners are announced.
Are there restrictions on how I can use the award funds?
Funds must be used for artistic development, educational expenses, or project costs directly related to your proposed work. Recipients are asked to provide a brief report on fund utilization.
Do I have to perform if I am a winner?
Yes. You will be required to perform on two separate occasions: first at the annual event in the year you won the award, and again at the following year's event.
Can international applicants apply?
Yes, we welcome applications from international artists and students. However, if you are a winner, you will need to pay for your transportation and housing at the events during the year you won and at the subsequent year's event.
Is there an application fee?
No, there is no fee to apply for the Lorenzo Awards. We believe financial barriers should not prevent talented individuals from applying.
