Singer, opera and musical theater

◆ 2026 Lorenzo Award

Over the past few years Jenna has taken on a wide range of work as a singer, from Broadway performance to operatic recitals. Her goal for the year ahead is to be accepted into a 2027 summer program and a year-long Young Artist Program for the 2027–2028 season.

“In the next 12 months I hope to continue building my network of other artists and growing in my technique and artistry through voice lessons, movement classes and coachings, professional headshots, and professional recordings for pre-screenings,” said a hopeful Jenna.

“I believe the Lorenzo Award grant will allow for my voice to break through the barriers and challenges of starting and building a career in opera.”

Singer, San Francisco Conservatory of Music

◆ 2026 Lorenzo Award

Mallika is pursuing singing across all the genres that come from her cultural and educational background. She is a second-year undergraduate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying Classical Vocal Performance. At the Lorenzo Awards she sang four songs: an operatic aria, a Broadway number, a Bollywood soundtrack song, and one of her own compositions.

“With the Lorenzo Award grant, I plan on paying off part of my housing for conservatory next year, so I can have my own space to make an in-home studio and produce and release more of my original music,” said an enthusiastic Mallika.

“I am a first-generation Indian American … and the first of my entire lineage to pursue a musical career.”
